DV-5A Preaction double interlock

DV-5A Automatic Water Control Valves are diaphragm valves that can be used in fire protection systems with double-locking system activation. When properly installed, the DV-5A double-lock valve also provides fire alarm activation when the system is activated.

The diaphragm design of the DV-5A valve allows it to be reset externally, providing easy resetting of the flooding system without the need to open the valve opening cover/shield to manually reposition the cover/shield and/or latch mechanism. Simply repressurizing the diaphragm chamber resets the valve.

The DV-5A has an internal and external coating for corrosion resistance. The corrosion resistance of the outer epoxy coating allows the DV-5A to be used in corrosive atmospheres found in various types of industrial process plants and outdoor installations.

DV-5A valves are offered as the DV-5A valve and separately ordered semi-assembled trim as shown in Figures 6 and 7 or, for ease of installation, as a fully equipped and assembled DV-5A with or without the system's main control valve.
