Water Motor Alarm WMA-1

The Model WMA-1 Turbine Alarm is an external hydraulically powered alarm device designed for use with water flow sensors in fire protection systems. It is a lightweight yet rugged device and can be used to provide local alarm signalling in conjunction with one-way alarm valves, air control and alarm valves, flood valves and pre-operated valves.

The hydraulic alarm unit is suitable for mounting on a rigid wall of any type and can be mounted on walls from 50 to 450 mm thick. The unit is fitted with a listed and approved Model 74A Y- filter (P/N 305004) for use on the alarm line.

The WMA-1 uses a lightweight driven rotor design which produces very high sound pressure levels. The bell cap, cap suspension and turbine housing are constructed of corrosion resistant aluminium alloy with a brass nozzle insert. The polymer drive bearings require no lubrication and the bell is tightly fitted to the bell suspension, eliminating the need for a separate cover.
