Confirmation of the assumed effectiveness has been completed by the final tests of the sprinkler system in the TS-04 and TS-14 tunnels, which are part of the S52 expressway - the northern bypass of Krakow.

The Tunnel Nozzle system, available from Foamax, is a proven solution that is technologically designed to maximally reduce the effects of a fire in a tunnel. A key feature of the Tunnel Nozzle system is its ability to respond quickly to an incipient fire. Once it is detected (by a linear heat detector), all processes start automatically. A signal from the fire control panel opens the indicated sprinkler section (zone activation/deactivation is also designed for response capability from the tunnel management center).

Several tests carried out in the TS-14 and TS-04 tunnels have confirmed the interoperability of the Tunnel Nozzle system with other elements of the tunnel infrastructure, including ventilation systems or the fire detection and detection system.

The Tunnel Nozzle Comprehensive Sprinkler System is an example demonstrating the importance of modern solutions for increasing safety on Polish highways.
