Fire Safety Solutions for Electric Vehicle Charging Areas in Enclosed Garages
The area associated with the intensive development of energy storage, the use and production of alternative fuels and, above all, the availability and increasing use of electric cars, requires the adaptation of solutions and systems for their safe use. The selection of appropriate extinguishing media is the basis for the installation of systems recommended for fire protection of underground garages and electric vehicle charging areas. Kamil Marjanek, a fire protection engineer and managing director of Foamax, presented and systematized detailed recommendations for the fire protection of underground garages, based on the reading of source materials and practical references to incidents involving electric vehicles. The lecture was held on 15.09.2022 during a conference organized by the Association of Fire Protection Engineers in Warsaw.
